Museum Dedicated to the Collins'


On September 6, 2017 the Museum of African American History and Culture at the Harry T. Moore Center was named after community advocates, former Council members, and dedicated members of the Cocoa community, Leon and Jewel Collins.

Cocoa Works Summer Employment Program


Twenty-one local juniors and seniors were employed this summer thanks to the efforts of the City of Cocoa’s Cocoa Works program and CareerSource Brevard.

Cocoa Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday


District 1 Councilmember, Clarence Whipple, Jr. was on hand to help Ms. Clara Thompson Bell celebrate her 100th birthday along with friends and family this past June.

Cocoa Village Merchants Host Pet-Friendly Celebration


The Historic Cocoa Village Association along with Cocoa Village business, Tails at the Barkery, hosted a special ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Myrt Tharpe Square Gazebo in downtown Cocoa Village to celebrate the pet friendly merchants and the new doggie stations that have been placed throughout the Historic downtown Cocoa Village shopping area.
